The Birth of Parvati
For centuries, academics have compared the mythology of Venus, the Roman goddess of love, to that of Parvati, the Hindu goddess of love. Deriving from Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus,” this digital photo composite is a reimagining of the Italian Renaissance original in the framework of Hindu cultural art. ‘The Birth of Parvati’ has been displayed at various pop-up galleries and turned into an immersive 360° art exhibit in NYC.
